OREGAN place is a homely guest house. This 1920 architectural building is one of the oldest houses in Middelburg. The stately house was built in the early 1920’s. The first owner was a Mr Minnaar who also owned “Minnaar Handel”. The roof of the house was the first tiled roof in Middelburg. Tiles were transported from Durban by train packed in hay bales.
It’s big lead glass door invites you into our homely guesthouse. The broad shiny Oregon floors will lead you to your comfortable homely bedroom. Relax in our cozy courtyard situated in the centre of the guesthouse. Enjoy a farm style breakfast in our dining hall. Eat a delicious supper while taking in the warmth from our 98 year old fireplace while sipping on a glass of wine. Oregon Place guest house is fully serviced and your laundry can be done on site.
The rooms of this historical Guesthouse each has their own en-suite bathrooms,coffee and tea station,bar fridge and a bouquet dstv. Oregon Place Guest House may be build in the 1920’s but has all the 21th century technology like free wifi. Oregon Place Guest House has no two rooms alike. Each room has its own character and vintage furniture compliments each room. If the bed is too comfortable breakfast can be served in bed. Our guesthouse is a family run business and was bought by Johan and Adele Lamprecht in January 2021.
